I've been so busy writing short stories for my next collection, that I completely overlooked National Short Story Week.
Okay, that's a lame excuse - I forget every year! I'm just naturally bad at remembering these things. Once I've got these first drafts written, I will grab my favourite collections and read some fabulous short stories by Ali Smith, Aimee Bender and, of course, Margaret Atwood - accompanied by a nice glass of wine, because by then, I will deserve it.
