Half way there!

12/4/2015

Picture

Sadly this picture was not taken recently, but hopefully I will be writing in beer gardens again soon. The weather's been pretty nice recently, but still a bit chilly- not quite summer yet, although all my summer dresses are ready to go!

I've been having a great time on my blog Wake Up, Eat, Write, Sleep taking part in the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. I've met some fantastic new people, and read lots of varied and interesting blog posts.

I've been really excited by all the lovely comments about my own posts, a series of vignettes inspired by the letter of the day. Have you been visiting blogs taking part in this challenge?

Despite knowing April would be a busy month, I've started writing the first draft of a new novel. I'm just playing around with themes and scenes, and getting to know my characters at the moment. It's not a completely new novel - I'm rewriting something I wrote a very long time ago. It's surprising how my style has changed, and even where I've chosen to set the story. At the time, I thought my novels had to be set in London, even though I've only been there a couple of times. I'm going through the process of re-setting the novel and providing more logical reasons for the unfolding events.

How has your April been so far?

Annalisa Crawford, Author

Dark contemporary fiction with a hint of paranormal
"Besides Annalisa's clever writing style, I enjoy the unpredictable plots and the characters that are so very normal, yet tragically broken in some way or another."
