Checking in (the summer months)

21/8/2015

I've had a few new followers here recently, so I thought I'd check in.

I'm in the midst of the school summer holidays, so I'm not getting as much done as I wanted. But I am jotting down notes for my next book (in my oh-so cool Tardis notebook) and I'm querying agents with my last book.

Querying is hard. I have several lists of agents that I keep referring to, different files on my computer depending on their requirements. I'm checking and double-checking their websites, and wondering (regularly) whether I've chosen the right genre for my book. It's a novel that could be classed as literary or a thriller or crime (at a stretch) or... something else entirely.

I still plan to get back into the photo challenge which I stopped rather abruptly a couple of weeks ago, but I want to step up my creativity. I realised I was taking snaps, but I really want to share photos that make people go wow - like the ones I see on other people's blogs and websites.

Hopefully the rest of the summer will be slightly less wet and windy. I've got a summer dress I haven't worn yet!

Dark contemporary fiction with a hint of paranormal
"Besides Annalisa's clever writing style, I enjoy the unpredictable plots and the characters that are so very normal, yet tragically broken in some way or another."
